HSES Athletes Celebrate with Annual Banquet
		On Saturday, May 12th, HSES held its annual Athletic Banquet to honor the 2011-2012 athletes. The event was hosted by the HSES Athletic Booster Club, and Brennans Restaurant of Houston catered the event, with special thanks to Alex Brennan for the delicious meal.

		Special Guest Visit- Friday, May 18th
		HSES will be hosting very special guests on Friday, May 18th as Father Elwood and his Australian shepherd dog Martin come to the campus to 'bless the animals' and to read from their award-winning book, 'Martin in the Narthex.' See flyer for more details.

		Summer Theatre Camp

		Houston Warrior Summer Basketball Camps

		Costa Rica Teacher Exchange
		This year, we are excited to have Genie Thompson participating in a “Teacher Exchange” with our Costa Rica sister school. Following the Costa Rica Exchange Trip, Ms. Thompson will stay in Costa Rica for three weeks and teach Art at St. Michaels School.

		Math + Technology= Cool Construct!
		Seventh grade student Hank F. used technology and math skills to create a digitally-drawn construct after learning how to arrange geometrical shapes using compasses in Pre-algebra class.

		HSES Celebrates Dr. Seuss!
		Middle School students who signed up for a Houston Public Library PowerCard earned a Free Dress Day on Friday March 2nd. Hayden R., an 8th grade student, reads to the Scottie Dogs as a part of the school-wide Dr. Seuss birthday celebration.

		Holy Spirit’s Varsity Girls’ Basketball team took 1st Place in the St. Mark’s Basketball Tournament. The Lady Saints beat Trafton Academy, John Cooper, and St. Mark's to secure the trophy. Way to Go, Lady Saints!
