Holy Spirit Episcopal School has enjoyed a successful and busy year of admissions and school advancement. Beginning in July 2010, Admissions and School Advancement Director, Robyn LaRocca, joined the administrative team, bringing 14 years of proprietary and private school admissions and development experience to the HSES community.
Holy Spirit started the 2009-2010 school year with over 350 students enrolled in the Child Enrichment Center, Early Childhood, Lower and Middle School divisions. The "back-to-school" momentum continued with the "First 100 Days" address by new Head of School, Raymond E. Johnson. Mr. Johnson shared his vision of "good to great" for HSES which inspired his colleagues in mission and the families his colleagues serve.
Christy and Paul Lock, Fund for Excellence Chairs, reached out to constituents with the annual fund challenge of raising the goal amount of $150,000. That challenge was met with success by leaps and bounds. The 2009-2010 FFE raised nearly a quarter of a million dollars, closing the year end with $228,000.
February 2010 Auction Chair, Brooke Frank, continued to amaze the community with her outstanding Viva Italia Auction raising over $150,000. A job well done in the advancement of Holy Spirit Episcopal School and Holy Spirit Episcopal Church.
Lastly, the office of admissions successfully processed over 56 applications for the 2010-2011 academic school year. The admission office at HSES also brought the ISEE test to the school community and will host the 15th annual Private School Preview Plus at the JW Marriott in September 2010 which will bring over 1500 people in attendance.
