The Technology/Art class got hands-on experience in writing, editing, designing, and producing a children’s book this quarter. Each student chose a theme, wrote the text, formatted the text, illustrated the text (either on the computer or in the art room), designed a cover and back cover, created a title page and dedication, designed a wallpaper for the book endpapers, and assembled the book. Then the students read their books to the kindergarten and first grade classes.
The book project used writing, drawing, and computing skills, and challenged the kids to produce a fun, interesting product.
